I have been tracking them and will write about them at some point. Looking specifically at the replacements for CCGS Louis S. St-Laurent is relevant, as these will be the same ice-class as the Polar Security Cutter. However, the program was long delayed, with design first awarded in 2012. There is now funding and momentum, so I hope it goes well. I'm sure there will be more to say once construction starts. I will probably mention their design when I talk about the PSCs problem with the EQ-47 steel alloy, and then cover them more as the program progresses. Eventually I'll cover some of the other programs, too. I'm not short on material.
They haven't even put it out for bid to a shipyard yet. This is the designers estimating what it will cost to build. Meaning this vessel will end up costing even more.
Have you looked at all at the Canadian Polar Icebreaker replacement projects

Featherbedding and lack of competition.
